About us
A circle built on belonging
Sistahood Circle is a for-profit community and programming series that centers the professional and personal flourishing of Black women in higher education. We curate intentional spaces that foster connection, clarity, and growth.

Our mission
Sistahood Circle exists to cultivate an intentional community where Black women in higher education can connect, grow, and thrive personally and professionally through meaningful relationships, curated experiences, and opportunities for leadership, wellness, and collective success.
Our vision
We envision a higher education landscape where Black women are fully represented, authentically supported, and empowered to lead, advance, and flourish without compromising their health, well-being, or sense of self.
Sistahood Circle started in Baltimore. Over time, we intend to grow into regional communities that connect Black women across institutions — while fiercely protecting the intimate, relationship-centered experience that defines this community.
Our philosophy
Growth and flourishing are inseparable
This isn't only about helping members navigate higher education. It's about building meaningful relationships, pursuing leadership, prioritizing well-being, and experiencing genuine belonging. We refuse the trade-off that asks Black women to advance at the cost of themselves — professional growth and personal flourishing belong to the same life, and we treat them that way.
